Spain, Seville

It’s easy to develop a thorough understanding of economic and business management practices in Spain and the European Union while studying in the industrial center of southern Spain. And you’re sure to have a lot of fun while doing so. You’ll advance your Spanish language skills, stay with a local family, visit companies, gain a competitive edge through an internship, and immerse yourself in Spanish culture to boot.

Study abroad in Seville and you will:

  • Visit companies focused on business in Spain and the EU, and gain practical experience through a for-credit internship
  • Explore sites of cultural importance in and around Seville and Spain on CIEE excursions, cultural and educational activities
  • Make progress to complete your Spanish Studies for Business Students certificate
  • Take all of your classes in Spanish
  • Live with a host family in order to immerse yourself in Spanish culture
  • Participate in Global Discussions with Spanish students to debate current topics and make local friends. A few examples of debate topics include:
"Corporate Social Responsability: ethic or aesthetic?”
    "Neuromarketing"
“Entrepreneurship and financing innovative projects in Spain and US”
“United States and Europe: two youths, two realities”
    “Are entrepreneurs born or made?”

Established in 1986, the Business and Society program offers students at the advanced language level the opportunity to solidify their Spanish language skills while gaining an understanding of economic and business management in Spain and the European Union. The program combines coursework, related lectures, internships, and company visits. In addition, students have the opportunity to directly enroll in regular university courses.

All CIEE Business and Society courses (SEBS) are held at the Universidad de Sevilla School of Economics and Business. Students may also choose to take one or more regular University courses with Spanish students at the School of Economics and Business (Universidad de Sevilla).
