City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is committed to providing students with the professional education and learning experiences they need to achieve success in their careers and lead fulfilling and useful lives. The University offers an international curriculum and multicultural diversity of faculty and students, and its College of Business is one of the largest and most prestigious in Asia.

CityU emphasizes innovative problem-driven research and the connection between knowledge and society. The goal is to train a new breed of professionals to anticipate and respond to the challenges of the fast-changing, knowledge-driven global environment of the 21st century. Since CityU's establishment in 1984, it has grown rapidly in both size and prestige. CityU is centrally located in Hong Kong, on the mainland side of Victoria Harbour.

  • Preference is given to admitted Business students

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Sophomore, Junior, Senior
  • Open to UW-Madison degree-seeking students only
  • Good academic and disciplinary standing
  • At the time of application and the semester prior to participation, UW-Madison students must be currently enrolled. Transfer Students to UW-Madison need to be currently enrolled at their home institution

How will study abroad help you achieve your academic, professional, and personal goals?

The College of Business at the City University of Hong Kong is one of the top business schools in the Asia Pacific region and is committed to excellence and innovation in teaching. The language of instruction and assessment at the university is English. All courses offered under the full-time Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program are available to exchange students. CityU College of Business lists the wide variety of courses offered each semester on its exchange program website.

International Business majors at the Wisconsin School of Business are required to study abroad for a semester in their Region of Emphasis. This semester program satisfies that requirement for East Asia.
