Trinidad & Tobago, St. Augustine

Participate in one of UW-Madison's longest running exchange partnerships.  The University of the West Indies (UWI) provides a unique international educational experience program for undergraduates from any school or college.  The University of the West Indies Exchange is offered by the College of Agricultural and Life Science (CALS) in partnership with IAP.

Students will have the opportunity to enrich their degree programs by experiencing a cultural setting that will broaden their understanding and perception of the agricultural and life sciences in a tropical environment.  In addition, students will have a greater awareness of global food and agricultural needs, community development and economic needs.

The UWI is the premier higher education institution in the Caribbean. The St. Augustine Campus in Trinidad & Tobago is situated 15 kilometres east of the nation's capital Port of Spain, with a unique mix of early 20th century and modern architecture and rich landscape of indigenous and introduced flora and fauna. The university provides a stimulating and high quality learning environment against a charming setting of true Caribbean hospitality.

This institution is committed to providing equal opportunity for all.  The culturally diverse cross-section of local, regional and international students adds great value to the UWI experience. The university provides flexibility through a wide range of course options. Students are exposed to teaching by scholars of international repute in all disciplines. The UWI also boasts premier academic and laboratory facilities.
