  • Open to UW-Madison degree-seeking students only
  • Good academic and disciplinary standing
  • At the time of application and the semester prior to participation, UW-Madison students must be currently enrolled. Transfer Students to UW-Madison need to be currently enrolled at their home institution

Students will choose the Sydney Direct Enrollment or Sydney Trimester Direct Enrollment for the semester:
 
Fall Semester – Sydney Direct Enrollment (August – December)
Students entering for the US fall semester complete one course for 4 credits in August to early September (called Winter term) before beginning the regular term in September. Then, between September and December (Term 3), students complete three additional courses at 4 credits each.  Students who choose this option earn a total of 16 credits.

Fall Semester – Sydney Trimester Direct Enrollment (September – December)
Students enroll in the regular term only which runs from September through December (called Term 3).  Students complete three courses at 4 credits each.  Students who choose this option earn a total of 12 credits.

Spring Semester – Sydney Direct Enrollment (January – May)
Students entering for the US spring semester complete one course for 4 credits in January to early February (called Summer term) before beginning the regular term in February. Then, between February and May (Term 1), students complete three additional courses at 4 credits each. Students who choose this option earn a total of 16 credits. The calendar works well for students who are hoping to return home for summer internship opportunities.

Spring Semester – Sydney Trimester Direct Enrollment (February – May)
Students enroll in the regular term only which runs from February through May (called Term 1).  Students complete three courses at 4 credits each.  Students who choose this option earn a total of 12 credits. The calendar works well for students who are hoping to return home for summer internship opportunities.
